If you have not had someone who is not in your family or close circle of friends help you look at your closet and sort for those items that do not suit you or are not your current size, it is time to think about finding someone to come.  The thing that I hear the most from people on shows like What Not To Wear, Tim Gunn’s Guide To Style, Look 10 Years Younger, Makeovers and Look Alike is that the person does not realize that they do not look the best they can.

We get numb to the appearance we create so the face in the mirror is familiar to us.  When others suggest a change sometimes we resist because we do not want to lose the familiar image in the mirror. 

Twice a year minimum is what is suggested to refresh and change the image you are projecting.  It needs to be someone who will tell you the truth about what you look like in those old, outdated, ill fitting garments and in those that do suit you well.

Fashion cycles change 6 times a year so you can work toward keeping in style by gradually adding more closet updates as you get used to doing the closet checks.

Find a fashion stylist or image consultant in your area and make an appointment to start your closet refreshing and updates then keep up with what they help you get started.
